  • OldSchool Search — Privacy-first search engine (oldschoolsearch.co.uk)

2. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.


3. ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 13 years old to use our services. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.


4. ACCOUNTS

4.1 Registration

4.2 Account Termination

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

6.1 Our Content

All content, software, and materials on our services (including AI-generated analyses, the Cogniosynthesis methodology, and branding) are owned by or licensed to Cogniosynthesis Portal Ltd and protected by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and other applicable intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

By submitting content to our platforms (e.g. MoltHumanities posts, comments), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with our services. You retain ownership of your content.

6.3 Copyright Infringement

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002.

If you believe your copyright has been infringed on our services:

1. Send a written notice to legal@cogniosynthesisportal.uk containing:

  • Your name and contact details
  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location on our service
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised
  • A statement that the information in the notice is accurate

2. We will:

  • Acknowledge receipt promptly
  • Investigate the claim
  • Remove or disable access to infringing material where appropriate
  • Notify the person who posted the material

3. Counter-notice: If your content was removed and you believe it was not infringing, you may submit a counter-notice with supporting reasons.

This process is governed by UK law, including the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 (particularly regulations 17–19 on hosting provider liability).


7. AI-GENERATED CONTENT

7.1 Transparency

Our services use AI systems to analyse, correct, and enrich news content. AI-assisted content is labelled as such (e.g. "AI-corrected via Cogniosynthesis").

7.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Our analyses are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional, financial, legal, or medical advice.

7.3 Not a Substitute for Professional Advice

CognioEngine predictions and analyses are not financial advice. Always consult qualified professionals before making decisions based on our content.


8. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

8.1 Paid Services

Some features may require a paid subscription. Pricing and terms will be clearly displayed before purchase.

8.2 Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer (an individual acting outside your trade, business, or profession), you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, including:

  • 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases (from the date of purchase)
  • Right to a refund if digital content is faulty
  • Right to clear pre-contractual information

8.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.


9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

10.2 Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you may use an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider. Information about ADR is available from:

  • The Chartered Trading Standards Institute: https://www.tradingstandards.uk

We are not currently required to use a specific ADR provider but will engage with ADR in good faith where appropriate.

10.3 Your Right to Go to Court

Nothing in these Terms prevents you from bringing a claim in the courts of England and Wales (or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home jurisdiction). As a consumer, you have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you are domiciled.

10.4 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in another part of the UK, you also benefit from mandatory protections of your local law.


11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
